Learn Forex from the Basics to Using Indicators
109 free lessons that explain the reasoning before the recipe, plus 148 MetaTrader indicator and Expert Advisor files published as source code you can read before you run.
What makes this different
Source code, not binaries
Every download is a .mq4/.mq5 text file. Most free indicator sites hand you a compiled .ex4 and ask you to trust it. You can read every line of ours in MetaEditor before it touches a chart.
The formula comes first
Each lesson explains what the tool computes and why its inventor built it, before showing a single entry rule. Knowing the calculation is what lets you predict how an indicator will behave in a market you haven't seen yet.
Every tool's blind spot, stated
No lesson here ends on the best-case example. Each one has a section on where that specific tool breaks down — which is the more useful half, and the half most free material leaves out.
Written by Thanot, who also writes the MQL source for every file here. Read how lessons are researched and corrected in our editorial policy.

This is an independent educational site, not a broker and not a signal service. Nothing here is sold: the lessons are free, the MetaTrader files are free, there is no account to create, no email gate, and no paid tier waiting at the end of the free material. The site is funded by advertising and by broker referral links, which are disclosed on the brokers page and have no influence on what gets written.
It also does not promise you a result. Trading forex on leverage is risky and most retail traders lose money — a fact worth stating on the front page rather than burying in a footer. What this site can offer is that when you take a position, you understand what your tools measure, what they can't tell you, and how large a loss you agreed to in advance. Read the full risk disclosure before you trade with real money.
